I'm a CSI buff; so what?

Since I was a young girl, I always have the 'thing' for detective fiction. It's a good feeling to imagine myself as a cop. It's twice nicer whenever I would be able to get the 'bad guy'; imprisoned and sentenced him or her with appropriate punishment. ;-) I grew up watching 'In search for..' 'Lazarus', 'Robocop' and many more. However recently, I've been addicted to the CSI franchise; a detective procedural drama that depicts the life of the forensic team in three most populous cities of theUnited States; mainly Miami, New York City and Las Vegas.

Their work starts everytime a life ends. Every piece of evidence, no matter how small or tiny it is could lead them to the culprits. Everything is processed, and it's amazing to see how science can solves crimes. Watching them in the lab, makes me wonder why on the first hand; I didn't developed a certain proficiency in science as otherwise I can easilly do all those cool stuff the way they did.  (not forgetting their hi-tech equipments and machines)

Even though people argue that this kind series does not put forth any emotional values in-depth, however, i think the way they work together indicates the importance of team work. They never give up in finding the criminals, and that shows how determined they are. They find satisfaction whenever they resolve the case, and I guess that's the reason why am I so into this kind of serial drama.

In spite of  'detective-in-me' reason behind my interest on these shows, the setting of the story helps a lot in 'melting' me and 'locked; me in front of  the screen throuhout the show. Being an avid dreamer to be able to visit and live in United States; i found the potrayal of the city really gets me going. I am ecxited to see the glimpse of  the Brooklyn Bridge,The Empire State Building and Lincoln Park in New York as much as the glamourous shade of Las Vegas high-end casino resorts and pubs. Florida on the other hand captivated me their breathtakingly beautiful beaches (and people too, no doubt)

As for now, I've been downloading the series into my computer as I don't think I may have all the time watching it on AXN anymore. The most compelling part to this action is to make watching these favorite series of mine easily. Just turn on the computer, and walla, there's my fav show playing. Gotta pen off for now, peeps, as I got Mac Taylor waiting for me to watch him work. ;-) Till then.
